Mary Ann Calderone Wins 2019 Data Quality Network's Data Governance Award of Excellence
Mary Ann Calderone has been an invaluable member of PA Distance Learning Charter School since 2016 as the PIMS Coordinator. PIMS (The Pennsylvania Information Management System) is an online database of individual student and teacher data collected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a better way to track students and view their progress.
We are excited to announce that today, Mary Ann was selected as the winner of the 2019 Data Quality Network Data Governance Award of Excellence. The award is given out annually by The Data Quality Network as a way of acknowledging outstanding contributions to the quality of data in Pennsylvania schools.
Some of the objectives of the award include recognizing leadership in the area of PIMS Administration or Data Governance, honoring the dedication and commitment to establishment and growth of data governance, and lastly recognize participation in Data Quality Network meetings by the individual that was nominated.
The Data Quality Network acknowledges outstanding contributions to the quality of data within Pennsylvania schools through the creation and award of the Data Governance Award of Excellence. Any staff member of a K-12 PIMS reporting entity who has exhibited leadership in the area of PIMS Administration or Data Governance is eligible to be nominated for the Data Quality Network Data Governance Award of Excellence.
Mary Ann was presented the award on Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA for the PDE Data Summit.
