National School Counseling Week 2020
The American School Counselors Association coordinates National School Counseling Week the first week in February. This year, it's scheduled for February 3-7, 2020 and focuses public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems.
National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February.
This year’s National School Counseling Week’s theme is "School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans” and has a series of activities scheduled for each day.
More than 100,000 school counselors nationwide will be participating in the week’s festivities. Many schools will be hosting special events and activities to call attention to the countless benefits of a comprehensive school counseling program.
PA Distance, and our school counselors, plan on celebrating National School Counseling Week by participating in the week’s activities. Follow the PA Distance Counseling office’s Twitter account @PDLCSCounselors and PA Distance main twitter @PA_Distance for more information on the week’s celebrations.
